Hookers, Pimps, And The New Global Economy (Part 1)

  I  need to see how many clicks this post receives based on the title.
I have been meaning to speak on this for some time now, because well, judging by the name, it would probably be not to far out of the reason for such a post to be found here…
It is what it is.

Just in time for the Wall Street/Main Street , U.S. economic crisis is a semi in depth look at the current street walker who can be located in person at or near your local Starbucks or even in traffic here on the World Wide Web, or BOTH if you go WIRELESS!?!?!
Anyhow, I may need to break this on down into a series as we would need to review the history of the Oldest Profession in The World, and find exactly what took place at the beginning and how it has translated to what we see in modern times.

For the sake of this conversation, we can just make a note and say that if its the worlds oldest profession, then it was the first business transaction, which would indicate that
ALL ECONOMICS actually stem from this very first scenario, if you actually follow this title.

My Understanding of True Love

 

I’m taking a speech class and our first speech was a commemoration speech. I decided to commemorate the question, “why are we all here? and the answer, Love.”

When i began the speech i noticed that my topic engaged my classmates very quickly. I’ll give you a rundown of my speech in a journalistic style.

The question why are we all here puzzled me about 2 years ago, so like any beginning to a puzzle, i had to start putting the pieces together. I read a couple intros to some philosophy books my roommates had, but it led myself to a wall. So at this point I was getting tired of school, not really learning too much that interested me (university of Riverside), so i decided to take a quarter off and chill out, visit old friends, and just get away from the norm for awhile. Now i had decided to stop drinking alchohol, quit smoking weed, and stop cutting my hair and grow a beard.

Anyways, back to the question. Being that i’m chinese, i decided to read some of Confucius’s works. Confucius went around China at about 450 bc teaching emperors and people the meaning of virture. So, I was sitting on a plane to NY and had printed out “The doctrine of the Mean” by Confucius and had a dictionary and highlighter for the words i did not know. “The doctrine of the Mean” is a dialogue between the master (confucius) and his disciples. They discuss the path one must walk in order to attain true virtue. After reading the work, about a year or so later, i realized that this path of virtue which they spoke of was essentially Love.

One quote that really stuck with me during the year was this, “The master said, “I know how it is the path is not walked in: The knowing go beyond it and the stupid do not come up to it. I know how it is that the path of the Mean is not understood: The men of talents and virtue go beyond it, and the worthless do not come up to it.”‘

What i took from this quote was this, The knowing go beyond it and men of talents and virtue go beyond it: men like preachers and singers talk of Love and sing of Love, but they do not actually instill it in their hearts and walk this path of Love. The stupid and worthless do not come up to it: many people in the world have their own misconceptions of Love and virtue, due to what they’ve been shown in life and never actually go out and learn of Love and virtue for themselves, making them stupid for not searching out what they deem to be true and false about Love.

“The doctrine of the Mean” also talked about self cultivation, meaning bettering yourself each day, making this path a path to be walked on and seen as a journey. So everyday i try and better myself, knowing that it’s not easy to give up being a lazy bum over night, i try and better myself a little bit each day. I’d say i’m about 60% still a bum and 40% learning of Love, pretty good since i started out at 100% bum a few months ago.

So back to this question. I believe this question has been the catalyst for progression in modern society. You see tribal way of life has understood this meaning of Love, which basically starts with faith and respect to God and Earth, but modern society lags behind tribal way of life in spirituality, among many reasons, because modern society has a huge deal of conflicting details of God which has led to wars and arrogance of race, but it’s all just really childish fighting, whereas tribal ways of life is much smaller and more communal, easier to love and respect the tribe’s belief in God and Earth and the tribe itself.

So back to the question, men like Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X and Gandhi and many great leaders of history and present have unflinching faith in God, giving them the strength to really push for change in Modern society. So this question of why are we all here and the answer which great leaders come to is Love and if you know God you know God is Love, this is one detail which no man can dispute.

So i commemorated this question of why we are here and the answer Love for leading me to study great minds such as Confucius, Martin Luther King Jr, Malcolm X, Gandhi, Aristotle, Socrates, John Lennon, Etc.

I also commemorated this question for helping the modern world progress and helping myself become a better person each day.

So this question has led me to my understanding of Love and a good relationship with God, but i’m not quite where i need to be yet.

So i hope this little journal has helped you get a better understanding of Love, but please please please for the love of God, do not take my word for it, go and seek knowledge for yourself and study great minds who you wish to satisfy your curiosity of this question, because i know we all have pondered this question but only the great ones seek an understanding to the best of their knowledge and instill it in their hearts and lives and walks this path of virtue. Oh and this is just a snippet of my understanding, i’ve got much more to learn and left much unsaid.

Bill Gates Flexes His “PIMP HAND” on APPLE!!

Whats The Good News?
For me, it was the day when the decision was made by the executives at Microsoft to go ahead and settle the score in regards to the company that specifically set themselves up to compete against Microsoft for a greater share of the market, known to you as Apple.

As usual, we caught on to the angle fairly early, as D.T. posted this informative video to give viewers a better look at what they are actually looking to invest into, and well..although we may not have gotten broke off for the plug, as long as the goal was accomplished to shed light on the subject, it is sure to all come through in the wash.

First and foremost, we had to contemplate as to why the marketing executives at Apple
decided to use the stereotypical cool hip hot shot white guy as the face of their brand and then stereotype the old chubby squarish looking white guy to symbolize what a PC user looks like.

On top of that, they(Apple) specifically attempted to strengthen their position at the expense of the other in to identify with a good majority of Mac users and their thinking.
I didn’t go to a university to study Marketing, yet Pimpology degrees are enough to indicate that a person who acts in this way starts off from a WEAK POSITION in the first place. Its what we label as a SUCKA MUTHAFUKA!

In the latest “Im A PC” commercial series from Microsoft , I notice that no one even gives mention to Macintosh in order to make themselves feel superior, and I believe that overall, you would see the same type of ideology in the world at large.

I now hereby officially  label “PC” as ‘PimpHop Compliant’, and the reason is simple.
The Streets Are Watching!!

What this entails is that my own personal view of individuals who are out and about on a wireless connection at Starbucks or other WiFi  Hotspot locations on a Macintosh wish to appear to the world as ..Iunno… SPECIAL?

IMHO, sounds kinda GAY to me, and although I am not against anyone elses personal preferences, the current Stereotype of a Gay Guy would actually fit the description
and in the Macintosh marketing campaigns, it does in the majority of commercials show a young hip and trendy male comparing himself to a non trendy older male.

Long Story Short, where are the women  in Macintosh the commercials?
One does actually show a group of cheerleaders endorsing Macintosh with the PC as the second choice.
That’s almost there as the Ladies Choice has astronomical value.

The truth is that what you are watching, would indicate that the marketing team sees women as cheerleaders of and not users/purchasers of the product, and that would only confirm my belief that perhaps the marketing team and other individuals at Apple, may perhaps suffer from GIRL PROBLEMS.

Wonder what Guy Kawasaki’s view is as the original marketing guru behind the Macintosh brand?

To keep it even more thorough, Microsoft is a Software development Company, first and foremost, and other than X-Box and Ti Vo, they don’t produce any hardware, but produces the software that the actual PC manufactures use, such as Sony, Gateway, Dell, HP,Toshiba etc, so when Apple attacks Windows, they simultaneously attack the hardware manufacturers of products (PC’s) that use Microsoft Windows as well as the retail outlets that carry the products as well as the users who buy them, which is………The Vast Majority Of The Population On Earth!!

So can we conclude that Mac users are those who would never dare set foot into a
Wal Mart, because last time I checked, there were no Apple Products or Products that use Apple Software, other than perhaps the iPod.

But then again, both Warren Buffet, founder of the WalMart Brand, and Bill Gates, founder of the Microsoft Brand are actually good friends with each other and tend to trade off on Richest Man In The World Duties , due to their common thinking ,which is to say that even if you get a new hot iPod music player, in order to purchase it, many purchased theirs at WalMart, and in order to load music onto it, most used Microsoft Windows to connect to the Internet and store music on their own computer.

Even better, in order to Produce The Pimpin,
I am actually on XP as this is being typed.

With that said, I believe that Steve Jobs  (Apple Founder & Chairman) actually played himself something serious and let the buzz go to his head, due to some apparent deep seated jealousy towards Bill Gates and Microsoft…its the Stereotypical Gay Guy thing again.

In closing, you can watch the video below and put it into perspective for yourself, because it specifically shows influential and likable  individuals (Male & Female)from ALL walks of life, using the same tools to accomplish their own individual goals.

The Pimp Angle is in full swing when Bill Gates is Pimp Enough to Hop In His OWN commercial and show viewers that he is still down to earth enough to be seen in public  as a person coming out of the store carrying his own bag of groceries and doing HIM, even though he probably , in all actuality doesn’t need to at his position
Pimps do what they WANT TO DO, so
it shows the product to be PimpHop Approved, because if HE is able to rock and roll at your level of the game , it indicates that YOU are also able to rock and roll at his level, if you are looking through the proper WINDOWS, which history shows was his motivation to form the company in the first place.

of Lady Godiva as usual have been grossly misconstrued and altered, yet as always, no good drama comes without the associated embellishments.

For historical accuracy in short, the Lady Godiva legend centers around the legend of a woman who was said to have ridden through her village on the back of a horse in broad day light while completely naked.
Experts state that if there is any truth to the story, it would be in the version of how a wealthy countess who was betroth to a nobleman before the establishment of the British Monarchy as it is known today desired to have taxes lowered for subjects living in a certain part of the land.The husband would only agree to sign off of the request if she would agree to the challenge of riding through the village on the back of the horse in her birthday suit, which she gladly obliged to without anyone actually seeing her do it.

This is a usual scenario with urban legends , the stuff from which many organized world religions are made of, which is little of no proof in regards to the actual events that are being celebrated and honored.

From my experience with women, it would have to be due to the fact that ordinary life for many tends to be boring and lacking in spice to the extent that a need arises to give it a more fantasy based
storyline as opposed to a logical and scientific recount of the event.

So, on that note, the celebrated legend states that in the town of which is now Coventy , England,
the events actually did take place, yet this time with some added bonuses .

Its just my imagination though, as all of this is really based on fiction regardless.

The Secrets to Unlocking Your Success Pt. 1: To Pimp or Be Pimped

WHO AM I?
That question, as simple as it looks, has been on the minds of every human ever. At least once. Ever heard of the term “finding myself”?

Like with any quest or hunt, there has to be a starting point.
1. Define who you are now
This may seem like a simple task but here is the problem. We as humans have a tendency to bullshit ourselves. Im not asking you to downplay yourself, just be honest. You might look at the title of this week’s article, and wonder where this comes into play with our theme. So I will ask you again in a manner that your square little brain can grasp. Are you a manufacturing (Pimping), Selling(Being Pimped), or Buying (Tricking)?


The Pimp in all of us would never admit to sometimes being pimped, and sometimes tricking, just as the trick would swear he was pimping. “It ain’t trickin’ if you got it”,
Those of us being pimped sometimes don’t know, realize, or admit that we are being whored out. None of this is to be taken literally of course.
In the spirit of being honest with ourselves, you will notice that at some point or other we all exhibit traits of all of the different types. But for arguments sake, lets each choose one.

The Pimping (Manufacturer) Type
Real World Examples: The McDonalds and Disney Corporation Executives, Drug Kingpins, Literal Pimps
Strength: Are capable of having control over every aspect of their (and sometime others’) lives.
Weakness: Cannot function without those willing to be pimped, or those buying their products.
General Overview: This type prides themselves in being able to successfully lead, direct and give orders. This is the person who packages up the product for those being pimped to sell. Majority of the time, this person was actually doing the selling at a previous point and knows the ins and outs to be taught to the seller. While best when in command of those being pimped, the pimp is able to self operate in emergencies.
If This Is You: Keep your conscience clear by not conning sellers into working for you. A seller who wants to sell will do the job significantly better, longer, than one who is just ‘doing what they gotta do’. Don’t lose your soul and gain the world.

The Being Pimped (Seller) Type
Real world examples: Franchise and Retail store owners, Drug runners, call girls
Strength:generates revenue or other needed resources for the pimp.
Weakness:Sometimes can be too dependent on the pimp, forgetting how to self operate.
General Overview: This type does all the footwork to move the product after the manufacturer packages it all pretty-like for the buyers enjoyment. This type of person may be overly grateful to the pimp for giving them the “opportunity” to be in a privileged position. Is capable of self-operating but may not always realize it or want to.
If This Is You: Make sure the situation you are in is mutually beneficial. Figure out the reasons you are selling, if you are not achieving it why are you still selling? Master the art of pitching your product, with a conscience. ‘Forcing’ someone to buy may give you short term gratification, but your Karmic rewards/punishments are forever.

The Tricking (Buyer) Type
Real World Examples: Amusement park patrons, Drug Addicts, A call girl’s clients
Strength: has the money/means to enjoy buying from the seller.
Weakness:Can sometimes over-indulge and become broke. Or dead.
General Overview: These types are mostly all about ‘living life to the fullest’. However, their Dionysus-like ways can sometimes leave them penniless to the smooth talking and appealing Seller Types. Works best with the seller types and often has seldom resolved issues with the Manufacturer types.
If this is you: If your spend happy habits leave you feeling guilty, your success will come from finding a product that gives you the satisfaction you desire, without overstepping the boundaries of your bank account. (or body). Learn how recognized when you are being manipulated by Sellers.

Kanye West and Rhymefest are teaming up with Comedy Central to bring you a project called “Alligator Boots.” The show will be a half hour long an is in consideration to hit t.v waves in 2009. The idea is Hip Hop meets “The Muppets.” Kanye will be hosting the show alongside different celeb. hosts just like the The Muppet Show. Kanye and Rhymefest worked with Jimmy Kimmel and Daniel Kellison which were behind the show “Crank Yankers,” on Comedy Central. So there will be laughs!

Countdown for T Mobile G-1 (Google Phone) T-Minus 45 Days

 

Time Flies when you are having fun!

In a post from last year if not two years ago, we introduced you to the know Google Phone concept which was currently in development with the actual software that runs the phone which is known as Android.

Fast forward to Fall  2008 and it looks like the folks over at T-Mobile are who the game has selected to take up the challenge Apple for the title of having the most PIMPISH smart phone on the market.

In order for them (T-Mobile) to have somewhat of a fighting chance requires them to partner with Internet Goliath Google, in order to use their brand as leverage to compete with Apple, which actually IS first and foremost a Computer Technology company.

To give you the skinny on the actual factual, it is as follows.

T-Mobile like the others wish to upgrade their smart phone capabilities like other tel com companies such as Verizon and AT&T which provides the service for iPhone.
Also other hardware manufacturers such as LG, Samsung, and Motorolla  are looking to innovate their product lines, yet each of them have run into a challenge which is SATURATION.There really isn’t much left to do with a smartphone which is the reason why the reviews have been coming so infrequently as of late.

Enter Google, which actually develops , maintains and owns some of the most widely used applications on the internet (Search Engine,G-Mail-You Tube, Etc) and now Android which is an open source application that the new g1 phones come equipped with. for non techies, it simply means you and others are able to PIMP the phone software and make it do other things that were not previously included when you first got it, and without having to pay someone for the upgraded services.

All and all, while the G1 Phone is an interesting concept, , they seem to be
Slackin’ In Their Marketing Mackin’ which surprises me due to the fact of how much money they spend on advertising and celebrity endorsements for their current services and products such as Fav 5′ commercials and  D-Wade Sidekick Mania.

It seems like they are expecting for GOOGLE to carry the weight with its Brand Name, yet while the name is Widely Known, it is known for assisting people in finding what they are searching for and NOT for creating, marketing, and producing the products that people want.

The Proof?
Would Apple pay Google for Advertisement of their Hot New Product, or would Google  and T-Mobile pay APPLE for advertising and product placement services on the internet?

Only if the phone can be bought on iTunes 😉

At the end of The Day,it looks like they would ALL pay for product placement on PimpHop.com, so I say that your best option would be to own an iPhone AND a G1.

Busy people have been known to carry more than one mobile device to stay in touch, plus it makes you look more Pimpish, like having 2 Bluetooth headsets;
one for each ear!?!?!

I just like the key pad for the  G1, so I guess Im still a bit resistant to change.
