The month as well as the summer season is coming to a close, and I decided to go ahead and start a back to school session of sorts, where we begin to expand on subjects that are of interest and frequently discussed.

In the arena of New Media, I believe that this very subject is at the root of the whole industry, and we should look closely at what the term celebrity represents, as the definition as well as the means to attain the status is shifting at a rapid rate.

The image featured above comes from a Google image search and it happens to be ranked at the 8th spot for a image inquiry regarding the term Celebrity.

It caught my eye, yet I did not recognize the face, so when I read further, it turns out to be a celebrity cyborg which is in fact a human created machine, that can be replicated.

When doing a Google web search of the term, the second and most popular listing is as follows.

The key words that stand out are gossip, news, and Hollywood, which if I was to inquire of most individuals, they would draw some form of a connection between the words.

With as much of an emphasis in the world that there tends to be regarding the concept of celebrity, it seems like there is only an awfully small amount of data regarding what the word means and represents. If people want to be celebrities or are interested in celebrities, then wouldn’t we want to know what makes a celebrity a celebrity?

I know I would, yet its simply because I am operating a publication, and the events which have transpired as a result are quite amazing in regards th the business of show.

The online dictionary states the word fame in the first part of the definition, and fame is simply a case of being popular or known by many. The important part of the equation here is to note by which means an individual is made famous and the purpose of what they are famous for.

For the most part, from what I can tell, most individuals grow up in  society with media outlets such as television, magazines, newspapers, radio, and theater.

One part of the society usually known as the general public observes the special public individuals who’s names and faces appear in those outlets.

If an individual sees this growing up before the Internet age, then their idea of celebrity is that which entails having ones pictures seen and words heard by many.

With the New Media format, there is the same idea of what makes a celebrity, and with some words and pictures along with an outlet, many individuals seek to go outside of the traditional outlets ( mainstream) for a shot at popularity and stardom by seeing how much interest they can generate to an online profile or feature.

My personal take on the whole subject, is primarily in regards to the state of being known as importance. V.I.P. is an abbreviation for
“very important person” and the wise know the status of importance represents a person, place, or thing, that is necessary and useful which gives it or them value. Although images in mainstream media outlets now lead individuals to believe that it is simply a case of having their words heard and images viewed by many, when they mimic the scenario on the Internet, in actuality, there once was a time where the individual being featured had a certain quality of essence that individuals who observed them could actually draw from. I will now take a look at a group of icons that represent the idea.

The images above are of Showbiz Icons Marylin Monroe, The Rat Pack (Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. Frank Sinatra), and Sidney Portier.

There are other past greats in addition to these, yet I selected these individuals as examples due to the vast amounts of study that I have conducted in regards to their lives and careers and the impact they had on the world as entertainers.

One quality that unites each of them, is their genuine love for the work that they did, which was to entertain.

Sex And The Internet- A Coversation Between J.C. And R.B.

I guess this is what we can call Freestyle Fridays, as we are going to do things different today. When discussing different subjects and tasks today, we both decided to just let you in on the conversation as it may be entertaining for you to listen in to conversations held by others.

well in some ways, it is a Win Win, because some women actually like the idea of being stalked becasue they are getting that attention they wanted all along and look at how much more attention she would get if something happened! ( i know it sounds terrible) but soem women will do what it takes to get the ttention they want… even if it comes down to that.. soem women will try to give someone hints into how to stalkk them, tell them where they are, etc.

Its been a hot minute since the last time I posted a music review, yet its simply due to the fact that I haven’t heard anything that motivates me to write in a while. Today I found an example, and this is more targeted towards the Hip Hop lovers, who may have an interest in something worth while.

Whats the good news?
This entry is actually for me more so that anyone else, as I am doing a bit of self analysis/observation work before my meeting at 5pm which is in a few hours, so you may just be able to eavesdrop and pick up on somethings that you can use as well, as I’m just feeling generous like that at the moment.

Since the beginning of last month, with my 4th of July , Why Is Liberty A Lady entry in particular, I have noticed an upward spiral in progress leading in to the current month of August, leading into the next month of September which is in 4 days from now. I have observed many different elements, and made adjustments here and there, and am now looking at the best possible means of achieving maximum impact if such a things exists, and when I was considering the notion, I looked up and decided to apply exactly what is in from of me, which is ME.

What had happened was, this video featured at the beginning was made last year in the Spring of 2008, and for some reason, it saved itself as a bookmark tab on the Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers, since it was loaded to Google Video, due to the time length of the video, so it sits there and has been there for a good year and 8 months now, yet I believe that I have actually viewed it no more than 7 times since the time that it was created.
The reason?
Its the same me that I see every single day, and have been seeing every since I can remember.

When I watch the video,I really don’t see anything that stands out, yet like anything else, that’s only my observation of myself, because another person who is not with me on a daily basis seems to see things differently.

What it actually does is opens up some interesting questions about the mystery of me. First and foremost, the video was simply a result of having some time on my hands before going to the basketball courts that day, and since a buddy of mine had a camera on his phone, We decided to go ahead and see what we could come up with, due to the fact that we had made a couple of videos before that people thought were interesting.

None of it is actually re-hearsed as it was never hearsed in the first place. I guess we can also say that it is unscripted or edited, without the aid of teleprompters,

yet in all actuality, since I am a writer, I guess I just make up my own lines as I go, and just recite them, saving the time that it takes to write or type them as I am doing at this very moment.

When you are speaking about important issues that can impact the world in a critical way, it may help to have some notes to refer to on a screen or paper, yet in this video, I guess its not something that could effect the world, because im just speaking about what I like in a woman, and different assessments of what I’m seeing in the world. The fact that I am doing this while walking up the hill/mountain is only a result of my desire to get out and enjoy the sun, so when it comes to people who have dreams  of freedom and see the mountain tops, I just think its better to go see and experience it all in real life, and if you cant come and join, you can watch online.

As controversial as it may sound to some, I believe that people such as Moses and Jesus walked and talked from hills and mountains because they felt like getting out to enjoy the sunshine and get some exercise, as these are elements that have existed for all people globally since the world was created.

As for the video itself, I actually cant seem to find the reason why I really still don’t have any true yearning for in being on camera, so I have done researched and asked people in the know, and what I have discovered is interesting to say the least.

You have a concept of what is known as camera shy, which would prevent, or cause most to be hesitant to appear on camera, yet with me, its a different scenario, as I now have to ponder on the fact that I have been being watched for as long as I can remember, and it is such a normal part of my reality, that I am never really aware it being something important. I’m used to it, so what I attempt to do is get others who may be interested to take turns at the wheel, and here in lays the mystery.

When I go to the social network sites, I see so many individuals who appear to want to be on, I guess, what is a stage to be seen and heard, so I automatically conclude that the opportunity will be well received, yet when it comes to live video, interestingly enough there is at many times a freeze up, especially when it is spontaneous, yet I believe the concept of Reality T.V. and
You Tube is shifting the tides in favor of such a thing happening.

I believe what is in order now, due to the redundancy of
Reality Television formats, is a new format known as
Television Reality series where we investigate the realities of the medium known as Television and showbiz in general and further realize them.

A word of caution for those who to come and borrow ideas from this online publication for their own presentations, wondering why I am foolish enough to share the excellent ideas with others to use without my permission or knowledge and make a profit.

If you continue to follow along, I estimate that before this year is complete, I will begin to also share a bit of wisdom as to the reasons why it not only does NOT work for you, but actually leads to detrimental and hard to explain results leaving you to ponder as to whether or not it was actually set up to work that way.
Its just a mystery waiting to be explained, so have some patience, which is considered a virtue.

Yet and still, dont get it confused, as I still had to handle my business on the playground, as well as conduct and regulate the trade activities at the lunch tables, bike racks,bus stops, and around, behind, and in between school buildings, during lunch, recess, after school, and even inside of the classroom.

With that said, I notice that I really have been going back to the 80’s quite a bit, and I am thankful that YouTube provides the ability to rewind back to a prior time whenever I see fit.

Since it really is different strokes for different folks as I often say, I decided to go ahead and prove it by featuring one of my favorite episodes of one of my favorite 80’s shows with the same name.

Looking At Your Pictures, I See……

I decided to go ahead and knock this one out the park before I head out, as the numbers are showing that its about that time.

Over the years, one of the things that I find most interesting and actually quite amusing, is when some individuals, especially certain females that I know, have said that they just know that this whole PimpHop.com is something more than it appears to be, like there is some deeper meaning behind it all, and they continuously search for it, but cant quite get to the bottom of it.

My response is always the same which is,

“Ok, if you say so.”

Is that assesment accurate?
What I do know is as follows.

When I come the the Internet, I notice two basic points of interest.

A. There are close to around 50 eleven million people with personal online profiles, and for the most part on social networking sites, a majority of the ladies like to take pictures and have their pictures looked at and admired and their voices heard by others in the same space.

B. Girls like to hang out V.I.P. status on the town, or simply enjoy a good time outdoors or in the house, and still again, like to take pictures while having fun, and share the images with others.

Can you guess what I said to myself one day a few years back in 2002 when this all got started?

You are correct!
I said,

“why not just create an establishment and publication that serves both of those needs ?”

Next, its  1,2,3 presto, and what you see is what you get.
Its simple and easy!

As far as the other stuff, it really is just all pieces of one whole, because well, we do communicate with others, which creates and shapes relationships, and everyone has eyes, and we all usually like to look good in an attempt to feel good, so you have some fashion and automobiles and gadgets, and other things that fall in line with the basic fundamental of functionality for life on Planet Earth..

I believe that anything else is simply what other people add, and I seem to intuitively pick up on it, and add it to the menu, so the whole mystique element is actually something that you as the viewer creates along with me. as we tend to get bored with the same old stuff done over and over all the time (redundant), so I just make things exiting and new, like

Truth be told, its all just some thoughts and ideas, if you really wanna know the skinny!

With that said, I sometime have this interesting , dreamlike feeling that each and every, or perhaps the majority of attractive women on the Internet, post pictures for the specific purpose of  having me looking at them and offering my opinion. Im speaking of myself, as in me in particular and as strange and self centered as it may sound, it turns out to really be true on my occasions, yet the challenge at this point is that there really are sooo many to look at and listen to ( saturation) and so little time and space.

It has become out of proportion due to the amount of profiles on social networking sites, and well, we all need to be productive with our time  in order to earn some income as attention for the sake of attention only, does not seem to cover costs and pay the bills.

This ( a solution) is what the focus will be on for the next few days when I am out as well as online. I have a few highly talented photographer friends that  have worked with us over the years who are still waiting on me to figure it all out as that tends to be one of my strong points.  We actually used to be continuously active in the streets, literally,

making it happen on a regular basis.

That was then, and this is now, and of course I am aware that people have been saying that we need to update the models gallery for years now, yet between us as friends, I just dont feel very pimpish unless I am the one innovating as opposed to immitating and besides, it has been shown and proven that some of the models that are currently featured have withstood the test of time and have increased in value, so I trust my gut regardless of the opinions of others, as much of a challenge as it is at times.
Even online, it aint easy, yet it always gets done.

I’m on my way out the door, so stay tuned and lets all think about what is really required in order to be and stay enthused and inspired.

The Winners Circle

TGIM (Thank God Its Monday) and the show is still on going and growing.
As I stated in an earlier post, I believe that we all have some pieces of the puzzle missing, and the best way to reach a state of puzzle completion is through working together.

What I am noticing, is that in actuality, one of the purposes served for me by posting entries here at PimpHop.com is to make this mechanism my work bench or drawing board of sorts, and these posts are simply my reps and sets.

Mondays are usually the day where I really analyze goals for the week and month and asses my progress from prior weeks, which is known as benchmarking.

What I have come to the full conclusion of, is something that I myself even have a reluctance to face because it is perplexing.

It really seems like for the most part, 95% of the individuals that I met as of late are not really looking to excel and go anywhere in life, for lack of a better phrase, and it is so common, that it just appears to be the New Normal, and anything else is thought to be somewhat unrealistic as far as expectations go. I have been pondering on what is causing the slight belly ache that I feel when I log on to the Internet for a few years now, and I have concluded that it really is the abundance of despair , hopelessness, and mediocrity that I can sense through the words and actions of individuals in my line of sight

It is a perplexing situation because most individuals who fall into this category are usually in some form of a comfort zone, living check to check earning just enough to pay bills and consume when time allows, which is usually on nights and weekends. You then have the scenario that says that some employers actually allow their workers to spend time on social networking websites, on non company related issues, and I have heard that this usage is rampant even when NOT authorized as personal mobile devices allow individuals to connect to each other on the web.

I was under the impression that the simple solution would be to go into the world where people are actually in a sense more active, to see a better chance of encountering individuals who are interested in moving forward and making progress, and that is when I experience an even more alarming trend.

In actuality, it appears to be the same story with individuals who are out and about in the world, as even those individuals are still on the web with mobile devices, twittering, myspacing, and facebooking away as these trend have become actual verbs that are easily understood by most of the younger residents in California and elsewhere.

As always, I recognize that it really is different strokes for different folks, and each is free to decide what to do with their own time, yet calling it like i see it, wasting time being under or non productive and overly consumptive has appeared to have become the standard, although I often look really hard to discredit my own intuitive belief.

At the end of the day regardless, what we sow is what we reap, and when the results show, I notice much complaining being done by individuals who are in fact making the choices and taking the actions which lead to these results.

As an example, I will bring you into my office, and allow you to view a fairly common style of email response from a young lady, whose name I will keep anonymous.

I’m sorry hon, it sounds like a great opportunity, but I’m afraid i don’t have the time, I’m soo consumed by work, and doing a lot of home improvements, I wont have the time.. I’m sorry hon..

Before you jump to conclusions, I actually selected this note for a good reason , as she is in fact a successful and active personality with a good attitude, and it is simply to show that the just move on to the next theory is non valid, as I am actually sometimes overly selective of who I even address in the first place, and if the serious and sound people are giving this type of response, which theyoften do as of late,  it requires me to have to search for a suitable solution.

We also have the just not worth the time theory, and I am an honest enough person to admit if it was the truth, yet between us as friends, another reason for posting these entries, is to simply prove to my own self the effectiveness of my methods, as with this one post, I can guarantee that more will be accomplished in 1 hour than in 3 days of using the typical methods, with even less work and even greater accuracy and returns.

Of course we have the typical popular name theory, and it often plays a part through the familiarity factor, yet my logic says that whether popular or not, if  whatever it is yielding non sufficient results, it really does not matter, unless one is only interested in associating with the popular in an attempt to become popular  in congruence with what everyone else is doing, also known as blending in. the last time i checked, the poupular and standard way or thing is exactly what is leading to poor results across the board for the most part.

My favorite is the one that I often hear in response to what I say after I learn what an individual is interested in and in search of,, which usually translates to

Yeah, you’re right, that is what I would LIKE to be doing, but that isnt what I AM doing.

What actually prevents a person from switching their doing to something more  likeable one as opposed to just talking about it has always been a mystery to me, and is probably just a by product of a person being human, which we all are, right????
This is just me thinking out loud, so I always rest assured knowing that every problem has a solution, and I am searching or even creating one in the process.

What I am envisioning is in fact a winners circle, created for those select few individuals who demonstrate what I classify as excellence and correct thinking and doing, as many popular publications follow the same standards, such as Forbes,People, Time or G.Q. Magazines.

From Wall Street, To Main Street, Then On To ELECTRIC AVENUE

They say you shouldn’t put things off for tomorrow that you can get done today. I say you shouldn’t put things off for 30 minutes that you can get done right now, and for whatever reason is is 11:00 PM at present time, so its still the same with both statements.

Sometimes, my fingers just begin to press and click on their own, and whatever comes out is whatever it turns out to be, so while in bed on my way to dream land, and pondering on tasks for the week and the rest of the month, I seem to keep travelling back to the 80’s in my mind over and over again. With the whole economy situation, its often mentioned as a improperly balanced relationship between Wall Street and Main Street.

I will leave it to the experts to figure out the technicalities. I just seem to always have my mind set on Easy Street, and just as iI was thinking about the scenario, this popular song and video began to play in my head.
